Meet the Founder

Allow us to introduce you to the heart and soul behind ManzanaBlanca Productions, Nia Applewhite—a proud alumna of North Carolina A&T State University and an empathetic storyteller.

Nia’s love for storytelling began with a simple yet profound belief: every story is worth telling.

Over the years, she’s had the privilege of exploring her creative talents through videography, photography, and filmmaking. These explorations led to invaluable experiences with renowned companies like Prettybird, HBCU in LA, IATSE Local 600, and International Creative Management (ICM), now known as Creative Arts Agency (CAA).

Throughout her journey, Nia has gained hands-on experience in roles such as script supervisor, camera assistant, and production assistant, all while forging meaningful connections with incredibly talented people. But it wasn’t until she immersed herself in this vibrant world that she discovered her true calling: telling authentic stories that break through the surface and challenge society’s usual portrayals.

Nia is honored to have worked with a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to impactful non-profits. Fluent in both English and Spanish, her bilingualism allows her to connect with an even wider audience, sharing stories that resonate on a deeper level. She believes that every project is driven by the people at its core. Whether it’s a corporate video, a brand story, or a deeply personal event film, Nia focuses on capturing the heart of what makes each story and mission unique.

Now, enough about Nia—she’s eager to hear your story. Let’s start a conversation and make something amazing happen!
